Magnus was born to a half-Dutch and half-Indonesian woman and the Prince of Hell, Asmodeus, in the 17th century in Jakarta, Indonesia, back then known as Batavia of the Dutch East Indies. He was born seemingly normal, only with unusual amber eyes.

Magnus was raised on a farm with his mother and her husband, both of whom raised him lovingly. However, when Magnus's warlock mark developed and they realized that he was the son of a demon, they both feared him. Magnus despised himself, and his mother soon hung herself in their barn. When he was ten, his stepfather attempted to drown him but was instead burned when Magnus lashed out with his powers at him. He was then brought up by churchmen and raised by the Silent Brothers of Madrid, Spain, in the 17th century.

Magnus stopped aging at around nineteen and thus looks quite young. Magnus has brown skin, is very tall, with a long and strong body. When he uses magic his gold-green "cat-like" eyes with vertical pupils appear. He is of Asian descent and have inherited some of his mortal mother's features including the curve of his eyes. He has dark black hair; his hairstyles have changed over the years, ranging from short and spiked to straight and shoulder length.

He wears all kinds of make-up, such as glitter around his eyes, lipstick, and nail polish. He likes to flaunt his beauty by often dressing in flamboyant and glitzy ensembles, which is seen by some as strange, or unique.

He has strong feelings about justice, and about protecting innocent lives. Magnus does relish life, and the world he lives in. His insatiable curiosity comes from a true interest in the world around him, and he quests for knowledge of the arcane world, and for new experiences.When you've lived as long as Magnus has, entertainment becomes a completely different sport.

Much of what he does is motivated by the fact that he hates being bored: he likes being surrounded by energy, vivacity, and new things, even if he doesn't partake in the scene himself. He enjoys stepping into different roles, and has come to see the art of when to take on which ones, for practical reasons, as well as to keep himself entertained. He might be a flippant partier in gold pants one moment, and an incredibly serious, dangerous and solemn force to be reckoned with in more extreme situations.

Magnus can come off as aloof, but he's always ready with a witty or sardonic remark for any occasion. Despite appearances, Magnus has the capacity to be immensely loyal to people who earn his respect or love. He might not always be willing to admit it, but he does care about what happens to them, and this manifests in his own unique way of lending aid when necessary. He's incredibly skilled at reading people, after all these years, and he can recognize when someone has a good soul and a good heart.

As a warlock, Magnus was granted immortality. Physically, Magnus does not age and has maintained the appearance of a nineteen-year-old since the 16th century. He also has access to magical powers that often manifest themselves as blue flames or sparks at his fingertips. Magnus is capable of casting spells and performing summoning rituals.

Though he can hold himself in a battle he does not always exactly go on the offensive. His preferred brand of magic lean towards alteration, conjuration, illusions, enchanting, and restoration.

A runaway prince from Edom, one of the Nine Kingdoms of the Demon Realms. He has been living incognito in the Mortal Realms under the name of Magnus Bane for centuries. For reasons even he cannot comprehend, he has managed to gain notoriety and the responsibility as the High Warlock of Breuckelen, a small yet thriving and well-known borough in Novus Yorkas.

Magnus was both man and machine. A wandering synthetic humanoid, burdened by borrowed memories of a past long gone and a history not his own. Long has been his travels through the wasteland of fallen cities in search of answers for questions his creator left behind. Despite that, New York will always be home no matter how far it has fallen.

Hailing from Liyue and born from a mortal mother and a demon father, Magnus Bane's elemental power is an enigma. He does not have a Vision so it is assumed that he must possess a Delusion, but as to how he has acquired one is a mystery. Though he seems to possess the element of Pyro, the colouration of his powers are blue instead of red.
